The Miraflor Nature Reserve is a 254 km² protected area in Estelí. It is divided into different zones: dry tropical forest, natural grassland forest and cloud forest. The Miraflor community is made up of forty-two communities and farms that have been established in different parts of the reserve. The economic activity is agriculture, cattle ranching, and ecotourism. The production of excellent quality, organic coffee is the most important agricultural product.
