Located in the rural community of San Jacinto, 30 minutes northeast of Leon, the Hot Springs are a fascinating sight to see. The boiling mud holes show a constant activity all year round, displaying sudden little explosions of hot water. Locals use the red and black clay for its healing properties and to shape small crafts. Walking through the little town of San Jacinto you can learn a lot about the rural life in Nicaragua.

On the way to the Hot Springs you will be able to view part of the Maribios volcanic chain with the impressive San Cristobal and Telica volcanoes.
