Considered the best rum in Central America and one of the best in the world, Flor de Caña has been awarded with 72 international medals and 13 recognitions in the last five years. The International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) – the premier competition of its kind in the world – in London, England, awarded Gold Medal and “Best in Class” to Flor de Caña Centenario Gold 18 year rum.
This traditional Nicaraguan rum was born from a San Antonio sugar mill factory more than one hundred years ago when the owners produced a little bit of rum for celebrating the end of the sugar harvest.
The factory is located in the rich volcanic fertile soil of Chichigalpa, about 45 mins from Leon, where hundreds of acres are cultivated with sugar cane to produce this rum with unique smoothness and flavor. During the tour, you can taste and savor the rum in its different stages, from raw material to its final product.
